Today marks the launch of Rebecca Emin’s new book ‘When Dreams Come True’. Anyone who read and loved her first book ‘New Beginnings’ will not be dissapointed. I absolutely loved this book. (Review to follow).
Charlie is happiest when biking with Max and Toby, or watching films with Allie. But when Charlie reaches year nine (age 13), everything begins to change.
As her friends develop new interests, Charlie’s dreams become more frequent and vivid, and a family crisis tears her away from her friends.
So, about my dreams. I’m afraid I don’t have any really exciting stories to tell. My dreams tend to be vivid but really boring. If anything is bothering me in real life, you can guarantee it will end up in my dreams, cue plenty of falling/being chased/turning up somewhere naked or in underwear. It’s all pretty textbook stuff. Often, I dream about really normal, boring things like doing the school run or writing an assignment. Thrilling stuff. There have been times when I am genuinely not sure whether something happed in my dream or for real.
Why don’t you check out some of the other participating blogs, the full list is over on Rebecca’s blog.
